Ukrainian Maritime Bar Association is a public organization which was established with the main purpose being aimed at the development of international maritime law and national Ukrainian legislation in the respective field.
We strive to unite lawyers, scientists, experts and other persons who are interested in maritime law, who practice or are engaged in researches in this area, in order to achieve objectives and tasks set before us.
The Association was established on December 1, 2006 and registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on January 25, 2007 as the Public organization "South-Ukrainian Maritime Bar Association".
In 2012, according to the decision of members of the organization, its name was changed to the Public organization "Ukrainian Maritime Bar Association".
Since 2012 the Association has been a member of the Comite Maritime International that is an organization which was formally established in 1897 and is currently one of the most authoritative international organizations which addresses issues of the unification of maritime law.
Activities of the Association are mainly governed by its Charter, regulations, and national legislation of Ukraine.
