Membership in the Association can be individual ("Individual Member") or collective ("Collective Member").
Collective members exercise their rights and obligations through their representatives, determined in accordance with the applicable laws and statutory documents of the relevant legal entity. To participate in the General Assembly and to work in other statutory bodies Collective members shall authorize one representative.
The amounts of entrance and membership fees are regulated by decisions of the Executive Board of the Association. Entry and membership fees may be made in monetary form or in kind.
The Executive Board shall reach a decision of membership in the Association.
Admission to membership of the Association shall be effected upon written application of the candidate, submitted to the Executive Board. On admission to the Association its Members may voluntarily make property and financial contributions that after transfer to the Association become its property. The procedure for admission to the membership of the Association and payment of the membership fees shall be determined by the rules approved by the Executive Board of the Association.
By the decision of the Executive Board of the Association, natural person, who has made a significant contribution to the development of the Association or maritime law, can be awarded the Honorary Member of the Association. Honorary Members are entitled to participate in meetings of the Executive Board and other statutory bodies of the Association in an advisory capacity. Rules on Honorary Members of the Association, as well as rules related to the awards, citations, and other incentives shall be approved by the Board of the Association.
